Thank you for your reply to the issues regarding the grass verges down Buckingham Crescent. However, I was very disappointed with this response. This is a highly neglected area, where others in Bicester seem to be prioritised above it. This is council property and therefore, asking the residents to fund this project is not a viable solution. Mr. Wayne (Councillor for Bicester), I understand, visiting this road with another gentleman yesterday (19th March) and looked at the site. I'm not sure of the outcome of this. If you could let me know, I would appreciate this. As the fiscal year starts on the 6th April, I'm again, asking on an urgent basis, for work to be done. Grass seed does not solve the problem, therefore tarmac or bollards would be necessary. Thank you. Original: "As you can see from the photos attached, the grass verges on our road have been abused for years. This is a small selection as every one on the entire road is in a similarly awful condition. The solution is not re-turfing, but asphalting or using wooden posts to stop motorists parking (illegally). Some of the worst examples of this are outside Domino's Pizza and the Bicester Chemist. It's an embarrassment and a complete eyesore that has never been rectified." Response: "Thank you for your report. The only way this issue would be resolved would be for the instillation of bollards along here which will need to be paid for by residents, however due to budget restraints unfortunately we cannot offer and or supply new bollard instillation until the new fiscal year in approx April 2021. If this is still an issue next year please feel free to contact us again and we will look into this. regards. "
