Wooden post installation

I am writing on behalf of Headway on Bagley wood road. I have a problem that I would like looking into.

Outside Headway (opposite number 1 and 3 Bagley wood road, there is a path that many of the visitors here use. Some with wheelchairs and walkers. Many of the visitors here have mental disabilities and the paths here keep them safe when entering and exiting the site.

The problem they face on a daily basis is people parking on the path. Many of these people are residents of the local area. We have asked politely that they refrain from doing so but it's still happening.

At the bottom of Bagley wood road opposite the war memorial there has been wooden posts put it to stop this. However this hasn't been continued further up the road.

It has become a real safety issue now as the visitors have to walk into the road. With mental disabilities the risk of getting hit by a car is higher than normal. I'm lost at how to sort this issue out. I and the visitors at headway would like to have the wooden posts (at the bottom of the road) continued further up to keep us safe.
