Request for Horses crossing warning sign
Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 07:14, Thu 18 March 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Visibility of the B4437 from the minor road and the lane is limited due to the undulations in the road and the national speed limit applies. Motorbikes enjoy this road and unsurprisingly accelerate up the hill from the east towards this junction.
Visibility of the minor road and the lane by drivers on the B4437 is limited by the hedges.
Many horses cross the road at this point (there is a byway which continues beyond Kingstanding Farm). There are horses based in the village, and also a race yard at the top of the hill.
Issue has existed for years.
Please would you consider installing 'Horses crossing' warning signs to the west and east of this road junction on the B4437?

I apologise for the delay in replying. I have checked this area and note there is already a 'crossroads ahead' warning sign in a location that would be appropriate for a 'horse with rider' warning sign. I will make arrangements to have this sign added to the post that is already in situ.
