Out of date roadworks signs

Reported via desktop anonymously at 19:29, Saturday 13 March 2021

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Just before getting off the A40 Northern Bypass (northwest-bound) to go into Marston, there are yellow roadworks signs warning of roadworks and temporary changes. THE DATES SHOWN ARE 29.1.21-15.2.21. That's in the long long past. These signs are misleading, redundant and distract the driver's attention for no reason, therefore they are a TRAFFIC HAZARD and should be removed forthwith. WHY ARE THEY STILL THERE? Is it because OCC Highways couldn't be bothered to remove them???

  • I passed this location today (22nd May) and came here to let the local authority know that someone had forgotten to remove the signs which should have been removed in January, but I see there have already been at least three reports about this over the last three months and yet they are still there. Does anyone act on these reports? Does anyone even read them?
