Dangerous railings.
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:00, Thu 11 March 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The railings on Thorney Leys Road have not been repaired since the fatal accident here in July 2020 - NINE months ago!
If railings were considered necessary for safety reasons when this scheme was built in 2014, why have you not replaced them, or at the very least, put temporary guarding in place?
If railings are no longer required, will you please either remove them all or at least cut of the jagged metal remnants that have been left protruding into the footpath to snag unsuspecting pedestrians & cyclists.
As you can claim the money back from the driver of the van or his insurers, there should be no reason not to do this work & at no cost to taxpayers.
