Speed Bumps Required

Reported via desktop anonymously at 12:40, Friday 5 March 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

Having moved into a house on Trinder Road in September 2020, we have now witnessed people driving ridiculously fast up and down our road.

This week my cat was hit and killed by a car, and neighbours have informed us that this has happened numerous times over the past few years. I really hope that you can help and install speed bumps on the road which would stop people driving as fast. With young children, I am obviously worried about their safety with the speed people are driving.

Thanks in advance.

Updates

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

    State changed to: Investigating

  • Thank you for your report, we have researched the personal injury accident history at this location for the last five year period and can confirm that there have been no such accidents. The installation of traffic calming measures would require a formal consultation with all of the residents effected, funding would have to be found for both the consultation and the physical installation works themselves, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council could not fund such a scheme at this time.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
