Trip Hazard

Reported via mobile in the Pavements category by Mark French at 17:43, Thursday 4 March 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

First reported on enq21888181 and incorrectly identified by survey engineer. TRIP HAZARD Raised pathway due to tree root. 50 Springfield Avenue. Over the last year, the tree root has pushed up the path and has caused a trip hazard and its now causing damage to drive my way. We are both over 80 years of age and visually challenged. We have stumbled when walking, but thankfully not yet fallen over. There is ongoing work in Springfield Avenue and wonder if this safety hazard can be done at the same time?

Update 4th March 2021 This Hazard has not been fixed or repaired. I have today spoken to the onsite repair team, who confirm that the defect has been missed by the survey engineer and the fault depicted in the photograph has not been correctly identified. I have reported this to fault enq21888181 to Monica on the Oxfordshire County Council highways reception, who assures me that she has informed the chief engineer. Please Contact me on 07521797773 to confirm if this fault will be repaired. Regards Mark French

  • Reported twice, fixed on the second time of asking. Council operative did not look at the pictures I provided or read my report. I can only assume after speaking to a young lady on reception, who stated I would receive a call from an "engineer" who didn't call, that whoever did the site survey was new to the job! I can only hope the engineer has received additional training so this doesn't happen again. This was a wasted visit, time is money, hence why my council tax has Increased again!
