Streetlight too bright
Reported via mobile in the Street lighting category anonymously at 21:10, Wed 3 March 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I have previously reporting this streetlamp for spreading its light too far over property in Thornley close. I have been informed that a shield is to be fitted to the rear. This will be ineffectual. It needs shielding on the right of the lens as you stand on the public footpath beneath it. The excessive light is disruptive and disturbing to the house whose garden is under the front of the lens NOT the rear.

Good Morning, thank you for providing this update. i have had a look at the report and it looks like shielding was added to the light on the 02/03/21. Can you please let us know if this is still causing a issue? Thank you

Hi I noticed that a mask has been applied to the back of the lens which is incorrect and has made no difference to the illumination of the property in Thornley close. As previously stated the mask needs to be on the right side of the lens as you stand under the lamp ( from the public footpath)

Thank-you. Lamp now has a shield and lens shading. Problem solved.
