Second sign needed
Reported via iOS in the Pavements category anonymously at 11:50, Wednesday 3 March 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The photo shows the existing sign at one end of the footpath to the side of Thorney Leys, Witney. There is no equivalent sign at the Burwell Meadow end of this narrow section of footpath and there have been numerous occasions where cyclists do not dismount and cycle this section of the path at speed and pedestrians have had no warning before being passed, causing alarm and potential accidents/injury. Please place an additional sign where indicated. Thanks.

Yesterday a speeding cyclist had to swerve off the footpath onto the grass nearest to the road to avoid hitting us. This shared path is an accident waiting to happen.
How many times do we read “Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed on to the relevant team for investigation”, and nothing gets done!!
