Missing Cycle Box
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 21:55, Sun 28 February 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I am a frequent visiter to Henley on my bike and I have noticed that the cycle-only box that used to be positioned at the head of the traffic queue at the lights as you cross over the river thames bridge heading west in to Hart Street appears to have been painted over.
Can I please ask if the cycle-only box has been deleted accidentally or was it intentional and, if intensional, the reason for removing, what is, a device to allow cycles to move off from traffic lights safely?

Thank you for letting us know that the road markings have become worn. Unfortunately, our budgets for this current financial year have nearly all been allocated and whilst your report has now been closed the matter has been recorded on our list for consideration within future programmed works.
