Water coming out of Road Drain
Reported via desktop in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category anonymously at 17:02, Thu 25 February 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Water has coming out of Road Drain for many months.
Previously reported 14 Dec 2020, OCC ref 2431170.
A Gully Cleaner came today and we now have a nice clean drain. They reported the problem as fixed but it patently isn't - if anything even more water is coming out across the road. Next time it freezes this will cause a major hazard to all road users, as it did in the previous cold snap.

It seems clear that a spring has become connected to the drain - the flow varies with weather, after rain it is much stronger and conversely weaker after a dry spell.
