Light shining into bedroom

Reported via mobile in the Street lighting category anonymously at 11:13, Tue 23 February 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The light from lamppost 13a shines straight into bedroom and lights up room with blinds drawn, makes it very difficult for anyone to sleep in. Is there a way we can have a screen placed to stop this?

Updates

  • Hi Many thanks for your report, unfortunately this light has not been adopted by Oxfordshire County Council yet and is still the responsibility of the housing developer. You will need to contact them direct as they are still responsible for the energy and maintenance of the street lights. They should be able to fit a manufacturer shield to the rear of the lantern to stop any backward light.

    Kind regards
