Very bad road surfaces between Aston Pottery and bridge heading towards Bampton
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:28, Friday 19 February 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The road surface is very bad and quite dangerous, from outside Westfield House right through until the bridge over Aston ditch. It is full of deep potholes, and disintegrating surfaces making it difficult for cars and bikes to avoid either damage to their equipment or to others. . In addition during the most recent cold weather the water has not drained away from the road surface and so it became a skating rink, and was treacherous in many places. The potholes are getting bigger day by day and the matter needs addressing.

The road surface in the Westfield House/ Aston Pottery area through to the bridge as you go towards Bampton is still very bad, and there is little sign of any proper repairs.

I can see by the white lines marking around the potholes that the matter is in hand, however I am concerned that the marking stop at the edge of the village 30mph sign, yet there are very dangerous potholes and road surface damage right up to the bridge. Why hasn't the scheduled work been carried on to cover these areas as well.?
