Amateurish resurrection of road markings to replace the ones which had been done to a high standard only recently

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 10:59, Wed 17 February 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Instalcom have been digging and filling trenches along the roads in Benson. Just before Crown Lane going into the village they have been replacing the double yellow line road markings. I saw with some amazement two men, one with a plank of wood and one with a spray can of yellow paint putting back the double yellows on a windy day. The final result is attached. The original markings had been done only quite recently, properly. I was wondering if this was supposed to be the final 'putting good' the damage they have done or whether it will be done again properly, It seems a terrible shame that we have just had a lovely new stretch of road in the village, and it was looking so good, if this graffiti is really going to be acceptable.
