Vehicle regularly parked near junction

Reported via mobile anonymously at 08:44, Thu 11 February 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

This (or another car) is regularly parked close to the junction, of Dearlove Close, which means that exiting the road enforces you to be on the wrong side of the road. If anyone is driving into the close at the same time they are suddenly confronted with a vehicle coming towards them on the wrong side of the road. Only a matter of time before there's an accident. Also children play in the road around the parked cars. This has been since the summer at least. I have tried placing polite notes on the windscreen asking not to park so close to the junction. Needs double yellow lines. Urgently.

Updates

  • These cars are still parked on the junction. With cars parked (legally) opposite the junction, meaning that when you pull out of Dearlove Close, forcibly on the wrong side of the road, there could be traffic coming past which will also be on the wrong side of the road! (Possibly cyclists). When can we get some double yellow lines painted to ensure an accident is avoided?!

  • Cars are still parking dangerously on this junction! Does it need someone to get injured/killed before anything is done about this?
