I have reported this problem a number of times. The water cascading down High Street is caused by it missing a drainage point. See photo. This is due to erosion of the road surface caused by the poor quality surface being eroded by passing cars and farm vehicles. The water then collects in a pothole immediately outside my front door. Passing traffic then throws the water and road debris onto the front of my property and in particular my front door. There are many occasions when I cannot open my front door due to the water being thrown at it. The property is listed, and is now being damaged by this perpetual bombardment. We have a duty of care to protect listed buildings. I am doing my utmost to protect this property. I would ask that the highways department do theirs, and not be party to cause damage to it. On 13th January the pothole immediately outside my front door was ‘repaired’ by it being filled in. By that evening it had opened up again due to the inadequacy of the repair. I have dated photos to prove this. I would like a suitably qualified person from the Highways department to view this ongoing problem, so that a permanent solution can be applied and prevent further damage to this listed property
