Leaking manhole cover

This manhole cover on the pavement heading NE has been leaking for several months. Thames Water have investigated and 'it is not their problem'.

  • This manhole has been leaking for months and we do not seem to be getting any resolution. Has anyone picked up the cover and looked for the blockage. All we hear is that it is not Thames Water but nothing constructive. The road is wearing away due to the volume of water washing over the road and then runs down the kerbside to the road gully which is completely blocked so bypasses that one onto a lower gully which is taking the overflow. Please take a look and come up with an answer, there must be an answer out there. A gully clean throughout Holton is necessary. We can only do so much with clearing away the leaves and mud but a machine is needed to clear out the muck beyond our reach in the gullies. Holton Parish Council

    I can not believe this has still not been fixed, left much longer the road will need replacing, people have to walk though this everyday

  • What is happening about this leak? Holton Parish Council keep getting asked why this has not been fixed. It has been reported numerous times on Fix my Street and there seems to be no action at all. Please give us a progress report and take some action now.,

  • Water still leaking out from the area around the manhole cover. Water running down the kerb and eroding the road surface. Please come up with an answer to this long standing problem

  • It appears that there have been some work here but I can report that for the last month or so that the leaking of water is continuing - so I do not thing that the matter has been resolved. Please escalate the actions to resolve this longstanding problem before more damage is done to the road surfaces in that area.

  • Still leaking water from a manhole cover and running down the road - seemed to stop for a bit after some work was done but leaking again now 24 May 2021.

    Hard to believe but after all this time and numerous reports this has still not been fixed, today I walked past and it’s flowing like a small stream and so much water is coming out it has lifted the lid, something that does not look light. The road drain opposite is blocked so all the water has to run down the road, come on council workers get this fixed.
