Safety issues

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Good morning i dont know the right channel to report this but I have been very concerned about the safety of the zebra crossing at the end of Princes st going over to the other side of cowley road by the little sainsburys. I have children of 1 and 4 and most days when taking them to nursery cars speed over the crossing without stopping. I have been in the process of crossing when cars have carried on driving through. This morning a van went extremely fast just as we were about to cross over. Also as cars come up James street and turn left onto cowley road they rarely see a zebra crossing that is upon them immediately. I have had scary misses more than once a week. Please can some extra safety measures be put in place to make this area much safer. I fear for my family, old people and children. It shouldn't take an accident to make a change so I think a proactive approach should be taken to slow the traffic, make the crossing more visible to drivers and slow the traffic. I would be very grateful if this message can go to the right department and for a reply about what can be done. Many thanks and best wishes Polly Bunce
