In July 2019 I reported the need for the ditches in Church Lane to be cleared as they were causing pooling of water and flooding onto property. In December 2019, I was informed that Church Lane would be included in the upcoming gully cleansing programme. (Council ref: ENQ19839213). This has not yet happened, and flooding is recurring - you may be aware of the severe flooding before Christmas where the Fire Brigade were needed to pump water for many hours. Is the gully cleansing due to happen soon? Many thanks.

  • Thank you for your report. Whilst we endeavour to keep the gullies clear we are not actually responsible for the ditches along Church Lane. We will check who is responsible and ask them to check the ditches and clear them if necessary.
