Very deep pothole

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 20:51, Monday 25 January 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Deep pothole, on the far right of the left carriageway. Has caused me a flat tyre this evening. Is before the lights, and if a car is in the other lane (as it was with me), it's very dangerous as could cause someone to swerve. The alternative is to hit it and damage your car. I'm hoping it's just the tyre.

  • I hit this same pothole about 14.30 on 2/2/2021 and it tore through the sidewall of a run flat tyre so badly the vehicle had to be collected on a recovery vehicle. It remains to be seen whether the wheel itself will need replacement. The pothole has the potential to kill or cause serious injury if the vehicle lost control as a consequence.

  • How has this gone 10 days without attention? This has got to be the worst pothole I've ever seen. I hit it last night on a rare journey out to get my COVID jab as I am clinically extremely vulnerable. PLEASE GIVE THIS URGENT ATTENTION--FILL IT IN WITH SOMETHING TEMPORARY IF NECESSARY!!! TERRIBLE POTHOLE.
