ROAD SAFETY HAZARD - Whitchurch Hill: Goring Heath Road Junction with B471 A tree - on the boundary of The Hatchgate and Goring Heath Road - was blown down last week across Goring Heath Road, just past its junction with the B471, blocking that part of Goring Heath Road. The main trunk was eventually cut in half and moved, to the verge, so that traffic could pass. However, it all remains on the side of the road with a significant amount of greenery, branches and debris, piled up on beside and onto the verge of The Hatchgate/Midnight Stables. It is partially blocking that side of the road, preventing two cars from passing at the same time, and - more importantly - obstructing the visibility of the 'Give Way' sign for the junction ahead, and the 40 speed sign. This is a dangerous junction, for drivers not familiar with the area. We are very concerned about road safety while this obstruction is blocking the verge, and the road, and the visibility of important signage at the junction.
