Fallen brick wall still not cleared up

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Wall fell down some weeks ago in the storm. Police tape and barriers were placed around. This has still not been cleared up, the barriers have now fallen over, some into the road. The bricks have also made there way onto the road. Pedestrians have to walk in the road or cross. Why has this not been cleared at least, if its not going to be repaired straight away. This is a safety hazard and an eyesore to boot.

  • Thank you for your report. This is a privately owned wall which is not the responsibility of Highways to maintain or rectify. No attempts have been made to clear the footway of the bricks by the owner responsible, so we have arranged for the bricks to be removed, this has been scheduled for tomorrow, 27.1.2021.
