New Roadworks Sunk causing pothole type dip.

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:09, Tue 19 January 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

In preparation for the new housing development (Kings Gate) between the Wootton Road and Dunmore Road, a new traffic light controlled crossing has been installed. A trench has been dug across Dunmore Road and the backfill has sunk causing a pothole like dip. It has been patched up a few times but the quality is poor and needs to be completed satisfactorily.

  • Thank you for reporting this. We have asked Hope and Clay (the developers contractor) to repair the sunken trench once before. Our Site Inspector will speak to the contractor again and ask them to make more of a permanent repair.

    Kind regards
