Undermined bridge supports caused by flooding

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Flooding is undermining bridge supports of footpath over River Dorn. Stonework is being washed down stream and is creating a dam, SIGNIFICANTLY worsening flooding in Mill Lane and Jacobs Yard, causing damage to adjacent properties. Bridge is part of main pedestrian route to village primary school. Bridge needs fixing and dam(s) clearing urgently.

  • Thankyou for your inquiry. This has been inspected few weeks ago this will be inspected water levels are down

  • Your engineers have spent several hours over three day period clearing the channel down stream from teh bridge. This has had a marked effect on the flooding (not flooding as badly and going back to "normal" much more quickly. Owner of willow tree who's roots are blocking bridge needs to be written to also. Thank you for making such a difference.
