A pothole so deep it caused the front of my car to lift off the road

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is a pothole just on the lane markings near the exit of the slip road onto the southern bypass. This is a 70mph stretch of road, I hit the pothole so hard that I was thrown from my seat and almost lost control of the vehicle.

I am not sure how long this has been present, but this road has been covered in potholes since I moved to Oxford in 2017.

  • Update, I drove past this "pothole" recently and it actually looks as if this has been removed with tools and not refilled.

    I would be really interested to speak to someone about this as a matter of high importance.
