Damaged road surface and substructure
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:53, Mon 11 January 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The Oxfordshire stretch of this road from the Gloucestershire border to the A361 has collapsed. The centre of the road is signficantly higher than the center and causes a risk to car suspension and the underfloor of cars. There is a high risk of damage to tyres, suspension and bodywork due to the poorly maintained surface, and substructure.
Furthermore, the road surface is in poor quality and there are longitudinal and latereral undulations in the surface and substructure, which are highly dangerious to pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, and cars.
The poor condition of the road creates an unnecessary and avoidable risk of death.
