Disabled/wheelchair/pram access

Reported via iOS in the Pavements category by Peter Hopgood at 20:47, Wed 6 January 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

It is not possible to get a wheelchair or pram down this footpath. Lady at No. 13 uses a wheelchair. It is pretty difficult to walk down here when you are able bodied! Most people resort to using the road, which is a hazard as drivers turning in from the roundabout direction have no sight line round the corner. At night the street lights dong shine down here because of the trees in the way, making it very hazardous.

  • On Tuesday a friend visiting our house by foot stumbled on these tree root lumps and very nearly fell over. The lady in the wheelchair is confined to her house because she can’t get out on the pavement and it is too dangerous to use the road so close to the blind turn in to the Grove.
