The footpath between Norwood Avenue and Stonehill Lane has a stile (Ref 268/17) which is broken, making it difficult to climb over especially for senior and disabled.

  • Someone, I don't know who, has effected a "repair'' to the stile. Unfortunately it is dangerous, especially for people like me, over 80. Can one of the Councils decide who is responsible for maintaining stiles on footpaths please and then take the "repair' down and provide a proper stile, quickly. Sorry, saying that the problem has been fixed is a farce.

  • Many thanks, sorry for the delay, your report has only just made it to the Countryside Access Team, who manage footpaths/bridleways.
Please email us (countryside@oxfordshire.gov.uk) quoting 268/17 if the stile still requires attention.
    Regards, Countryside Access Team.
