Speed limit

Reported via mobile anonymously at 23:56, Tuesday 5 January 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

The speed limit for Potash lane (Milton Hill) is still national. As there are now houses where children and pets are living I feel this should be taken down to 30mph. Our cat was hit by a speeding car today and didn't make it. He wasn't even a year old yet. He hasn't been the first. Children play out not far from the road as that's where their houses are so I feel this is a risk and very unsafe for those living near. Houses have been up for over a year now. Not only this but wild animals such as deer and foxes run out from the trees causing hazard for those on the road.

  • Recently, the 30mph speed limit was approved and the Section 278 works on Milton Hill (Potash Lane) are due to commence within the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm when the speed limit will legally change, but the works programme lasts around 3 months.
