Drains seem to have been blocked and unable to cope with the recent rainfall and run-off causing destructive localised flooding to 6 residential properties, on 23/24 Dec

Thank you for your report. We have passed details to our drainage contractor to investigate. However highway drains are designed to take certain amount of water from the road. When we have storms like one before Christmas unfortunately they can`t copy with amount of water going through and often surcharging.
