Continuous flooding down manor farm road due to blocked drainage below ground between 23 manor farm road and the village green. Emptying the gully is not sufficient, it needs to be blasted underground before the whole village green floods which is where I live. I have reported several times and it’s not been fixed. Clearing the surface leaves is not enough

  • Following last nights torrential rain we again have a torrent of water cascading down the road towards the village green. Having been flooded 6 times in the 80’s I cannot stress the importance of getting this blockage under the road cleared . It costs thousands to replace furniture in our houses so can I ask that you do something other than “investigating” and get this problem solved, before we are once again feet deep in dirty water. Everyone walking on the pavements are getting soaked by inconsiderate drivers speeding through the flood water. Please, Fix my street!!!!

  • How long does "investigating" take? For the last 4 months at least, this has been a significant problem EVERY time it rains - and precisely nothing has been done, despite seeing drain clearing vehicles in the village on 2 occasions. We're very lucky there hasn't been a severe freeze or it would be lethal. GET SOMETHING DONE

  • Still no action ! The outlet from this gully is blocked by tree roots, therefore all the surface water running down from shotover is being forced back to the surface by the blockage. It is then flooding down the road and ponding all across the 4 way road junction, and then freezing on frosty nights. If you can't dig up and unblock the pipes, then please put flood warning signs before someone gets killed on the resulting ice ! If you refer to your records you will see that OCC operative Craig Simpson did his best to jet the blockage when he was in the village with your big yellow gully emptier over a year ago. This issue was reported to you then. Time for action !!
