Footpath very dangerous, unsafe to use.
Reported via desktop anonymously at 12:46, Thu 24 December 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
The footpath by The Plough, Finstock. During the flash floods of yesterday, debris from the footpath was washed into the road. OCC attended and put road cones to close the footpath. Local residents have now cleared the road and the pile of debris with OCC road sweeper in attendance yesterday evening, but the footpath is now dangerous to use. The surface for the footpath was not suitable when laid by Thames Water a few years ago. The strength of the water has washed the surface away, leaving a very slippery surface of bed of clay.

I hope you can appreciate that we have been experiencing extremely wet weather over the winter and much heavier footfall during the covid pandemic which has contributed to deteriorating surface conditions. If the problem persists in future please re-report the problem, but at the moment there is very little we can do with the limited funding and resources our small team has.
