Uneven, slippery dangerous pavement/manhole covers

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Outside the side entrance to the Watlington Club (between the club and the Granary Cafe next door) the pavement is very uneven and the edges of the manhole covers are very slippery. A lady has just fallen there and injured herself and after helping her, I slipped on the same manhole cover.

    Photos added 16:15. This is not going to trouble most people but for an elderly resident, not to sure on her feet, this is definitely a trip hazard with traffic passing by within less than a metre of the pavement.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the site and assessed the problem that you have identified. Unfortunately it does not meet our current intervention criteria so I cannot arrange a repair. We will continue to monitor this during our routine inspections.
