Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later
The crossroads between the Garford to Lyford road and the Hanney Road which runs towards West Hanney direction is extremely dangerous. If you are crossing over that junction from Garford towards Lyford, it is impossible to see vehicles travelling from the right hand direction. There was a near miss accident the other day. Please could you fix a mirror opposite this junction so that you can see what vehicles are coming from the right hand direction as you cross over this junction. This is dangerous and urgent.

Thank you for your report, we have now visited site and assessed your request. Oxfordshire County Council do not support the installation of road mirrors at junctions unless there is a significant personal accident history, this is because road mirrors can be misleading as drivers are often unable to judge the approaching vehicles speed. We are however upgrading the signage on all approaches to the crossroads to further bring drivers attention to the road layout.
