Lorries cause shockwaves traversing uneven road

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category by Dave Fitchett at 11:55, Tue 1 December 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have reported this problem before but it is getting worse. It is two fold> 1. The gutter drain and two manholes are depressed and multi wheeled vehicles hit one after the other causing a resonant shockwave to our property. 2. The inside lane design means that such lorries continually hit and damage the kerb exacerbating the problem. The location is on the eastbound A40 outside No 2 Sunderland Avenue

  • A related problem. Despite a repair carried out 4 weeks ago to a manhole cover near the traffic lights on A40 eastbound at Cutteslowe roundabout it and the three manhole covers to the west up to 2 Sunderland Avenue are all loose and rattling every time a vehicle traverses
