Broken bar on cattle grid
Reported via desktop anonymously at 19:33, Fri 27 November 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later
There is a broken bar on the cattle grid just before the junction with the road to the main NT car park and Ridgeway. This is a particular danger to cyclists descending from the top of the hill - it is a very popular cycling climb. The damage is not obvious until you are very close. This was brought to may attention 3 weeks ago. I was not aware of an issue when I last cycled over the cattle grid 4 weeks ago.

This is still not fixed and a danger to access! Especially cyclists. Noted unrepaired on Sunday 21Feb2021...

I would love to know why it takes so long to address issues like this. It is clearly very hazardous to cyclists. If someone hits this they could be knocked off in a place where a serious injury could occur. But it hasn’t been repaired months after being reported. Is it a lack of money? If so then questions have to be asked about prioritisation given this is clearly a safety issue. Alternatively is it about work scheduling? If so questions have to be asked about why it is not possible to respond much more quickly.

This cattle grid has still not been fixed. Someone is going to really hurt themselves.

Grid now has a further crack in it. Once that goes, the road will be impassable/unfit for vehicles.
