Pavement very slippery due to fallen leaves

This is a footpath with a very high usage, especially during school drop off and pick up time. It is so slippery due to all the leaves. Today they weren't even wet for the top few layers, and I still slipped and fell. Good thing I am in my 40s and not my 70s or 80s, or I would have broken something. The leaves haven't been cleared at all this year. In the same time I have cleared the leaves outside my house 4 times.
