All of the various gullies and catch pits along the B471 between the crossroads with South Stoke Road and Reading Road and the junction with Whitehouse Road are blocked with mud. Please can these be cleared to allow for proper drainage.

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. The gully issue/blockage will be included in our forthcoming gully cleansing programme. As there is a limited budget, we have to prioritise high flood risk areas. Sometimes it is the volume of water that falls, and our drains are unable to cope, but the water eventually disperses. If you feel your property is at risk, please contact the emergency services or contact our call centre on 0345 310 11 11 to request sandbags. We will continue to monitor this on our routine inspections. Regards
