No Speed control or traffic calming

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Despite repeated request for speed control and traffic calming nothing has been done to address the issue of persistent and dangerous speeding on Hollow Way. This is a long narrow straight road with many thousands of pedestrian and cycle users. It is only a question of time before there is a human fatality on Hollow Way.
Please take this issue seriously with an additional crossing and speed warning lights to inform motorists when they are breaking the speed limit and speed monitoring to illustrated the extent of the problem.
I appreciate there is a bus gate being considered but this is uncertain and so form of traffic calming speed control will still be needed. Especially if parking is completely removed from Hollow Way which will mean speeding traffic is completely uninhibited.
Council ref: ENQ20881138
Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

The same speed & traffic control concerns need to be addressed for Oxford Road, Littlemore by Newman Road, Rose Hill, going towards roundabout. There is too much traffic, speeding, screeching tires, honking horns & several accidents, including fatalities. There needs to be another way for traffic to leave Rose Hill oval area out towards Sainsburys area. Flats/housing additional by Rose Hill Oval with no traffic relief, or congestion control considered. It is getting more congested and unsafe as every day goes by!!!
