Blocked gully in road outside Spencers Cottage, Little Haseley
Reported via desktop in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category by David Knowles at 19:23, Sat 21 November 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I am sending the following in response to your e-mail requesting further information on the location of the gully- the gully is outside Spencers Cottage, Little Haseley OX44 7LL near the junction with the drive to Haseley Court.:
I am writing to again ask if the gully can be cleared as no action has yet been taken. I first reported this approximately 10 months ago.. Attached are two photographs, one showing the gully in flood, the other it buried under a sea of mud. This flooding is a vicious circle: any amount of rain causes flooding, vehicles driving through the flood cause a "wave" which washes more mud from the surrounding verges, increasing the mud deposits hence increasing the amount of flooding. I have lived here for nearly 40 years and have in the past regularly kept the gully grating clear of leaves and mud. This is now a pointless exercise as the gully pot is filled solid with mud and debris.
