Continuous Water leaking across road

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:34, Tue 17 November 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The water leaking across road is much wider now, if we have winter freezing weather and if it turns to ice this situation could cause an accident, as the width if the water spill is today about 6 ft across. It’s a hazard now

  • The water Continues flowing across the road, two agencies highways and Thames Water. Someone has put two cones! And highway I presume a sign saying ice. Neither of which are dealing with the issue, as we reach winter the ice that will be created will be is a serious issue the width of the flow is about four foot across! This is a serious hazard to cyclist motorists! Do hope action is being taken

  • This issue still remains! Yes two cones mark the spot, yes there is a sign saying warning possible Ice. What it needs is fixing! It’s been months and months. Even before I raised the issue. If we get bad weather this is a potential hazard and could cause an accident .

  • Its been reported it again and again,as predicted during the very icy weather accidents happened.which makes it a significant risk and potential liability. It was highlighted that this could happen. It needs both agencies ASAP. Not just putting a cone on top. The water is constantly running across the highway which is OCC responsibility to keep our roads safe and they should be ensuring Thames water are actively dealing with this situation.

  • Drove this road today 12May it’s still in the same state, in winter it was responsible for causing two accidents due to the ice on the road . This issue has been reported now over a year and more The two main agencies highways Oxford and Thanes water. They need to get together and sort this issue the only thing that had appeared last year was two cones
