On 26th October 2020 I reported the storm drain outside my property, 8 Park Road, was significantly blocked, preventing the water from my property downpipes accessing the drain. Consequently the water can be heard flowing under my property. Today I have received an email stating the drain has been fixed. I can assure you it has not and water is therefore continuing to flow under my property, undoubtedly causing damage. This may account for the movement in my house and the fact freshly plastered walls have cracked. I appreciate it may be hard to detect which drain from the one identified using your system. Therefore I have inspected all storm drains in the street today. Not one has been cleared, or therefore Fixed? I have photographed each storm drain which clearly shows they are full of debris, mud and standing water. Please could you rectify this with immediate effect. If the matter is not resolved I will have no option but to contact a structural engineer to ascertain the damage being caused. As previously mentioned in this email my address is 8 Park Road, OX16 0DW. It is the storm drain directly outside my property. Please bear in mind that it has been neglected for so long that the drain leading from my property is now blocked as a direct result.
