Slippery road surface - likely contamination?
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 17:48, Wed 11 November 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The right-turn box for leaving the A4260 to turn onto Upper Campsfield Road at the junction is extremely slippery. Four different cyclists that I know of have skidded out when turning right here recently, one coming off and injuring himself. I've also lost traction on this junction - it's like hitting ice. There must be something contaminating the surface even if it's not visible. There are several earlier reports with other cyclists reporting potential contamination which have been closed due to no contamination being visible: Please test traction on the road surface rather than just looking at it. It's an accident waiting to happen.
