Illegal parking on cycle track

Reported via desktop anonymously at 11:16, Wed 11 November 2020

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Between Edgeway Road and Ferry Road is a short unlit section of cycle track. Recently there have been three cars/vans parked there all day and everyday, causing obstructions and creating a hazard for cyclists and pedestrians.

Council ref: 2382051

Updates

  • The same two cars are still there all day and everyday. These belong to people working in Oxford and using this as free parking. It's still causing a hazard and nothing has been done about it.

  • The original two cars have stopped parking but there is now another one using the cycle/footpath as a car park, so no change.

  • I went across this morning and a small blue car is now using the cycle track as a car park, illegally.

  • The white van that is regularly parked on the cycle track actually belongs to a resident, who really should know better!
