Thames Water are sending large tankers to pump out a failed drain/waterway. These tanksre block one side of Dry Lane. Cars and vans can just get past but lorries have to mount the footpath to get past the tankers. This is dangerous and is causing damage to footway and adjacent stone walls.

Tankers come several times per day. Problems have been ongoing for several weeks. Please can Simon Marsden attend and see whether a better/safer working arrangement can be found. I would be happy to meet Simon on site when he comes to Crawley

Tanker is now parking on adjacent hardstanding. Thames Water have advised that repair works on the sewers in the village will commence on 14 December 2020. This should overcome the problems and tanker use is expected to cease.
