A4155 near Shiplake Memorial

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 11:13, Wed 4 November 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There have been recent major road changes caused by the Thames Farm development on the A4155 in Shiplake, during which the speed limit warning sign (solar one) near the Memorial has been removed and not reinstated. This was very important before the recent road changes as over the years there have been numerous accidents on the stretch (one of which involved a fatality). Now that the road has been widened, it has become even more crucial as the speed which cars reach on this stretch is very dangerous AND there is now a pedestrian crossing point which wasn't there before! Further slowing measures e.g. proper speed bumps or a chicane would be more effective but in the meantime we need this sign reinstated as soon as possible. Please investigate why it has not been put up again at the end of the roadworks and let me know when it will be done.
