Dangerous cycling on footpath
Reported via mobile anonymously at 17:34, Thu 29 October 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
THIRD REPORT: of cyclists frequently forcing pedestrians off this path: knocking over, pushing off in to the mud, damaging clothes, shopping bags, etc etc. This path from Newland Mill to Church Lane is scheduled in the OCC Definitive Plan as Footpath 410/5. Current law, the Blue Book, the Witney Green Travel Map, etc are quite clear that this right of way is for PEDESTRIANS only, and not for cyclists. "No cycling" signs need to be posted to make this status perfectly clear please. This assessment of risk requires mitigation to avoid claims (e.g. for damages and hip surgery) against OCC officers (Precautionary evidential correspondence to be served by registered post to County Hall)
