I’ve been reporting blocked drains along the Oxford road for a number of months. This still hasn’t been satisfactorily resolved as you can see from the picture. Access to the school is blocked whenever it rains and neighbouring properties are soaked by the wash.

    This problem is still ongoing, the drain is regularly cleaned out by your truck but every time we have heavy rain the water floods the road which there is blockage or collapse further down the line.

  • This Problem is still on going its has now started the road surface to break up and numerous potholes to appear and the sinking of the road around two drains on the school side of the road it was reported in October 2020

    Report (again) of blocked drains outside my property on Oxford Road. The water floods the road and cars splash water up to my front door.

    The gates of the Junior school opposite flood, and the pavement becomes impassable.

    As you can see the drains are total blocked and need cleaning, plant life growing out of them now

  • 19 Oxford Road The road drains are extreemly blocked now causing the subsidence right across the road to the school. When it rains and the water can not drain it is becoming very dangerous. The water is gushing into our garden and up the exterior wall / windows of the house resulting in possible long term damage.

  • This has been an ongoing problem for a number of years and SODC do absolutely nothing about!! Perhaps if we all withheld our Council tax it might concentrate their mind to do something about it, but I am not holding my breath!!!!! Steve Redwood
