Pothole and loose cover

Reported via Android in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:54, Thursday 22 October 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There's a large pothole by a manhole cover right where the flow of traffic passes over on the main road. The manhole cover is being rocked each time a bus or lorry drives over it causing more damage and sending vibrations into the neighbouring houses.

  • This has not been fixed and the problem is getting worse. The problem is the man hole cover has sunk, so each time a vehicle drives over it it bounces the vehicle and the cover rocks. This causes a loud bang sound, and the vibrations cause the house to shake. This needs fixing urgently as it's getting worse. The man hole needs to be made level with the road and set correctly in place so it doesn't rock.

  • Markings have appeared on the manhole covers. I hope this means they are scheduled to be fixed soon. Is that correct, and can you confirm the date for the repair? Thanks.
