The junction of York Road and Kings Road is a disaster waiting to happen, Bridget Jones included. The repairs to various underground services have sunken; the covers are broken by heavy traffic and are water-filled whenever it rains. The pavement on the west side is also treacherous for obvious reasons.

Large hole possible danger when crossing the road, I only just noticed it in time today and could have fallen over in the middle of the road.
